Grants are available to help pay for projects as well as to provide an incentive for greater giving; they are not designed to underwrite the full cost of the project and congregations are expected to pay a proportionate share of the project cost.

Requests for projects costing over $20,000 must be accompanied by a request for a loan.

Due to the overwhelming demand for grants for basic work, projects that are considered cosmetic are rarely funded.
